A grudge is a heavy thing to carry.
The riches is not the wealth you possess, but the wealth you gave out.
We do not remember days of luxuries, but moments of sacrifice. Life moves too fast, so increase your precious moments of sacrifice.
Nothing is real to you until you experience it, otherwise it’s just hearsay.
Keep yourself busy in some noble work, otherwise idleness would tend to evil which will eventually ruin you.
Surviving and living your life successfully requires courage. The goals and dreams you’re seeking require courage and risk-taking. Learn from the turtle — it only makes progress when it sticks out its neck.
Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Your character is what you really are while your reputation is merely what others think you are.

A lot of ppl are familiar with nashhed singer SAMI YUSUF. his nassheds are beautiful but there is one thing i was wondering. i read everywhere that he is of Azeri origin which means that he is most likely a shia muslim.However i saw a video clip of his for ‘al Muallim’ in which he prays in a mosque with his hands on his stomach like sunni muslims. i believe he did this to maantain the popular following he has in a lot of predominantly sunni countries some of which dont look too favourably upon shia Muslims. but im about 95% sure he must be shia, because he has the honesty about his face that shias tend to harbour and he is Azeri. can anyone confirm this for me pleaase?? it would somewhat bother me if he was sunni

so yeh everything except the Mu’allim clip points to that fact that he is shia. in another of his songs called ’supplication’ he constaantly sends peaces and blessings to the prophet and his family. my sunni friend says that they dont emphasise the family part as much in their prayers. but WHY SAMI….WHYYYY?

during summer as you now u tend to sweat and sometimes smell as it was really hot so i used to put perfume however recenlty someone at school told me that i cant pray while i have perfume on.

Meaning that before prayer, you must wash your self correct..in prayer you cant use perfume, makeup ect..its absolut importent that you are aware of this..unless your prayer is not valid.

Salam,
I am a Sunni Muslim but believe that we shouldn’t separate ourselves. At the end of the day we all are Muslims and thats what counts. Aren’t we trying to bring people towards Islam? Well then we should show others that Islam is the right path, we cant say Islam is right but then only one sect in Islam is really right, only Allah (swt) knows who is right and who is wrong. There is only one Quran, but many different Hadiths and so if in doubt then we should just turn to the Quran as that has come directly from Allah (swt) for all mankind. I think we should show ourselves as Muslims not as Sunni Muslim or Shia Muslim etc, because that just shows the world that even Muslims are divided so how can they claim to be the right religion when there is controversy between themselves.

So this question was indirectly answered at http://www.shiachat.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=28349 by M. Baqer Al-Qazwini.
My own point of view is that the problem of this lies in parental consent to such a marriage, or maybe something worse by the parents…
Two important points of the reply are:
a) “(…) her past marriage was valid” (The Shia Syed Girl Marries a Sunni non-syed) — Do read the whole thing
b) “However, her parents must also make every effort to save her faith by teaching her the genuine tenets of the Shia school of thought and Ahlul Bayt, peace be upon them. Through communication and understanding, this can be achieved.”
