ABOUT US

The Creators

Shiasisters.net has been created by four sisters; Iman, Azra, Ailya, and Sumaiya. Iman and Sumaiya live in Dubai and Azra and Ailya live in Belgium.  They have been in touch with each other on-line and have been inspired with the idea of creating a website by which many other shia sisters can get to know each other and stay in touch!

The Aim

The sisters hope to meet many shia sisters from all over the world and create a bond of friendship and sisterhood.  Shiasisters.net will be a website for all shia sisters to share their interests, hobbies, favorite activities and ideas.  Shiasisters.net aims to provide member shiasisters their own pages where they can upload their thoughts, ideas, artwork as well as recitations.

The Goals

Shiasisters.net will be a platform to discuss issues that are faced by young shia girls all around the world and how to deal with them in accordance with the guidance of the Ahlulbayt.  Shiasters.net also hopes to associate with an “Aalima” who will answer questions posed by young shia sisters.

Monthly Specials

Shiasisters.net aims to update their website every month highlighting the important events of the month.  Our main aim is to learn from the lives of the 14 Ma’soomeen and apply their morals in our lives.  Shiasisters.net also intends to add “sister of the month” to the homepage as well!

Every ShiaSister is a member

Shiasisters.net welcomes all young shia sisters from everywhere in the world.  Please send us your ideas and we will update the website accordingly!

Al-Qaem Youth Society

(A Guide to the Doers of Good)

GOOD OPPORTUNITY FOR PERFECTING ONE SELF FOR BEING SUCCESSFUL IN THIS WORLD AND HEREAFTER.

Take advantage of five opportunities before five other things (that end the opportunity) ; your youth before your senescence, your health before your illness, your wealth before your poverty, your leisure before your haste, and your life before you death”- Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw)

Knowledge is available to all who seek it; regardless of age, background, profession or any trait that sets us apart from our neighbor, there is always something that we can learn from one another. . We must unite, at all levels, to defeat hypocrisy within our own community, within our societies and within our world..

The Aims & objective of Al-Qaem Youth Society of Islamic Guidance:

“I seek a Zeinab and Hussain in every child and youth of the community. I believe that the fight for social justice is merely the inheritance of the Ahlul bait (a.s.), which should come as a second nature to the youth of our community.”

Imam Ali (as) has said, `That knowledge is very superficial which remains only on your tongue; the intrinsic merit and value of knowledge is that you ACT upon it’.”

  1. Providing religious, spiritual, cultural and social guidance to Muslims of the community.

  1. Promotion and Propagation of Islam through the teachings of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) and the Holy Ahlul Bayt (A.S). Organizing religious gatherings.

  2. Provide counsellings services when:

a)A member / families identifies a need for themselves.

  1. Helping our Righteous scholars in their mission of spreading Islam world wide.

  1. To provide computer knowledge ,and arranging lectures and discussion..

As an important step in the ongoing struggle to strive in the path of Allah, the community has constantly tried to establish an Islamic atmosphere in which our children can grow and become healthy both spiritually and physically. That struggle continues but the nature of the battle has changed. We have realized the most effective way of getting through to our youth is through the youth. The best strategy to keep our youth on the Siratul Mustaqeem (the right path) is to train leaders from within them who will guide them towards the truth and away from evil.

The Al-Qaem youth Society seeks your support in raising funds for all these activities. Please donate generously and get Life Membership . Imam Ali(a.s) said:Do not be ashamed If the amount of charity is small because to return needy empty handed is an act of greater shame.

we are going to organize our first tours to HUSAIN TEEKRI (Jaora) under guidance of ulema e Islam, providing a true Guide to the Doers of Good on the path of Islam.

Mother’s Rights

It was for some time that Zakariyya, son of Ibrahim, felt attracted towards Islam although his father, mother and all the family members were Christians and he too was the believer of Christianity. Both his conscience and heart were inviting him towards Islam. At last, against the liking of his father, mother and family-members, he accepted Islam and surrendered himself to the commandments of Islam.

The Hajj season commenced. Young Zakariyya left Kufah with the objective of performing Hajj and had the honour of meeting Al-Imam Jaffir As-Sadiq (AS) in Madinah. He narrated to Imam (AS) the incident of his acceptance of Islam. Imam (AS) enquired:

“What virtue of Islam attracted your attention?” He replied: “I can only say that it was Allah’s words in Qur’an which impressed me and holds true in my case. Allah says to his Prophet (SAW) in Qur’an: “O Prophet! Earlier you didn’t know what the Book is and didn’t know what the faith is, but We revealed to you this Qur’an and made it a light by which We guide whomsoever We wish.”

Imam (AS) said: “I confirm Allah has guided you.”

Then Imam (AS) said thrice:

“O Allah! You Yourself be a guide to him.”

Afterwards Imam (AS) said:

“My son, now whatever questions you have, asks me”.

The Youngman said: “My father, mother and family-members, are all Christians. My mother is blind. I am associated to them and I am compelled to eat with them. What am I supposed to do in such circumstances? “

Imam (AS): “Do they eat pork?”

Zakariyya: “No, O son of Prophet (SAW)! They don’t even touch pork.”

Imam (AS): “Then, there is nothing wrong in your association with them.”

Then Imam (AS) said: “Be careful about your mother’s health. Be kind to her till she is alive. When she dies, don’t give her body to anyone else. You personally take charge of her corpse.” Here, don’t tell anyone that you have met me. I will also come to Makkah. Insha Allah (Allah willing), we will meet in Mina.

In Mina, the Youngman went in search of Imam (AS). There was a huge crowd around Imam (AS).

The people, like the children surrounding their teacher and asking questions one after the other without giving any time, were asking questions one after the other from Imam (AS) and were listening to his replies.

The Hajj season came to an end and the Youngman returned to Kufah/Koofa. He had kept in mind Imam’s (AS) advice. With firm determination, he started serving his mother and never failed to be kind and loving to his blind mother. He served food to her with his own hands. He even used to check her clothes and head to see that no lice might be present. This change in the behavior of the son, mainly after his return from Makkah, was surprising for his mother. One day she asked her son:

“Dear Son! Earlier, when you followed our religion, you were not so kind to me. Now what has happened to you that though I and you are not the same in respect of religion, you are more kind to me than before?”

Zakariyya: “Dear mother! A person from the descendants of our Prophet (SAW) has told me to do so.”

Mother: “Is he himself a Prophet?”

Son: “No, he is not a Prophet. He is the son of the Prophet (SAW).”

Mother: “My son! I think he himself is a Prophet as this type of advices and preaching’s not given by anyone except the Prophets.”

Zakariyya: “No mother! Be sure that he is not a Prophet. He is the son of the Prophet (SAW). Basically, no Prophet is supposed to come to earth after our Prophet Muhammad (SAW).”

Mother: “My son! Your religion is very good. It is better than all the other religions. Teach me your religion.”

The Youngman told his mother the ‘Shahadatayn’ (meaning: “There is no god but Allah and Muhammad (SAW) is his Messenger”).

Thus, the mother became a Muslim. Then the Youngman taught his blind mother the process of reciting salat (prayer). The mother grasped it and recited the Zuhr (noon) and the Asr (afternoon) salats. It became night. She succeeded in reciting both the Maghrib (evening) and the Isha (night) salats. Suddenly, late in the night, the mother’s condition (of health) changed; she fell sick and got bed-laid. She called her son and said:

“My son, once more teach all the things you had taught me.”

Once again, the son taught his mother the Shahddatayn and all the principles of Islam, that is, belief in Allah, Prophet (SAW), angels, the Divine Books and the Ma’ad (Day of Resurrection) . The mother repeated all these as a symbol of her belief and acceptance and offered her life to the Creator.

In the morning, the Muslims gathered for giving her Ghuslul-Mayyit (obligatory bath to the dead) and her burial. The person, who recited Sulatul-Mayyit (prayer for the dead) and buried her, was none but her young son, Zakariyya.

In an effort to reinstitute the true worship of Allah, scholars have recommended treatments for “diseases of the heart.” The foremost of these is the remembrance of Allah.

Remember the greatness of Allah and then the insignificance of he world and its impermanent state.

Remember that the ultimate source of all benefit and harm to yourself and all beings is Allah.

If you fear blame, fear the blame of Allah; and if your seek praise, hope for the praise of Allah.

Remember that Allah looks into your heart. Imagine your state if you should die while committing sin, either openly or secretly – just imagine the humiliation of exposure before all the creation on the Day of Judgement Remember the certainty of death and the shortness of life.

Remember the punishment of the grave and that of the Hellfire. Hope for the blessings of Paradise and the pleasure of Allah.

Once you are aware of your mistake, turn to Allah in earnest repentance, asking forgiveness and correcting yourself thereafter.

Always be on guard and ask Allah to help you to avoid falling into such errors in the future.

Make a conscious effort to do more righteous deeds secretly without mentioning them until it becomes a habit.

Take as friends and companions those you consider to be sincere, righteous and God-fearing.

Encourage them to point out your faults and help you to overcome them.

Accept advice without anger and try to follow that which is conducive to improvement.

Finally, do not let Shaytaan prevent your good work’s by suggesting that you are showing off.

If you find something of that within yourself, continue your works but correct your intention, seeking acceptance from Allah alone.

For in Allah’s acceptance is salvation and success…
Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after you have guided us, and give us from Yourself mercy. Indeed, it is You who is the Giver of all things. [Qur'an 3:8]
