I was so Absorbed in the Thought of …!

The Moghul Emperor, Akbar, was one day out hunting in the forest. When it was time for evening prayer he dismounted, spread his mat on the earth, and knelt to pray in the manner of devout Muslims everywhere.

Now it was precisely at this time that a peasant woman, perturbed because her husband had left home that morning and hadn’t returned, went rushing by, anxiously searching for him. In her preoccupation she did not notice the kneeling figure of the Emperor and tripped over him, then got up and without a word or apology rushed farther into the forest.

Akbar was annoyed at this interruption, but being a good Muslim, he observed the rule of speaking to no one during the prayer.

At just about the time that his prayer was over, the woman returned, joyful in the company of her husband, whom she had found. She was surprised and frightened to see the Emperor and his entourage there. Akbar gave vent to his anger against her and shouted, “Explain your disrespectful behaviour or you will be punished.”

The woman suddenly turned fearless, looked into the Emperor’s eyes and said, “Your majesty, I was so absorbed in the thought of my husband that I did not even see you here, not even when, as you say, I stumbled over you. Now while you were at prayer, you were absorbed in One who is infinitely more precious than my husband. And how is it you noticed me?”

The Emperor was shamed into silence and later confided to his friends that a peasant woman, who was neither a scholar nor a Mullah, had taught him the meaning of prayer.

‘Successful indeed are the Believers, those who offer their salaat (Prayers) with all solemnity, humility, and full submission.’ (Holy Qur’an – Surah Mu’minoon verses 1-2).

Few types of behavier and there benefit’s

Imam Ja’far-e-Sadiq (as) states that often his followers forgot saying ‘Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim’

before they started any work and therefore God puts them to trial, that they may be warned and remeber

The Almigthy and praise Him.

The Almigthy forgives their sin’s on account of there trials He is making them face.

Therefore it is advisable that every person, before starting work, should say;

‘In the name of Allah, The Beneficent,The merciful.’

According to Imam Mohammad Baqir(as).when God had forbidden Hazrat Adam(as) to eat the fruit of Heaven,

he had said ”yes”,but had forgotten to say ‘ Inshallah’.

The result was that he ate the fruit of that tree and was thrown out from Heaven and The Almigthy ordered His Prophet (as).

And say you not (of aught); verily I will do it tomorrow”, Save (say) ” If Allah Will” and remember Thy Lord when Thou forget, that is, one should never say one will do some work tomorrow.

On the contrary, one should say ”Provided God Willing” and leave the work unto the will of God.

If one has forgotten saying ‘InshAllah’, one should say it whenever one remembers it, even if one remembers it after one year.

According to Imam Moosa Ibne Ja’far (as), the doing of nine act’s makes one forgetful;

It is stated from reliable traditions that once Imam (as) was sad and said that he could not decipher why he was sad because he had never sat on the threshold or walked through a flock of sheep, or had put on the pyjama while standing or cleaned his face and hands with the cloth meant for wearing.

This implies that all the above acts cause sadness.

According to Hazrat Ali (as), there are certain things wich lead to poverty and others that lead to wealth.

p)Saying ‘Subhan Allah’ thirty times every day

q)A person who will repeatedly say ‘Subhan Allah’ will be keept safe from 70 types of curses by God;one of wich is poverty.

According to Imam Ja’far-e-Sadiq (as),a person who will write a poem or a couplet in praise of Ahlulbayt (as), God will make a house for Him in Heaven.

In another tradition it is stated that a person who wants to write a couplet or a poem in praise of Ahlulbayt (as) is helped by Jibrael (as), The holy angel.

A reliable tradition from Imam Reza (as) states that a person who will write a poem in praise of Ahlulbayt (as) willget a city for him self in Heaven by order of god, wich willbe seven times bigger than the world he lived in.

When he will reach that city, angels willbe near him and all the great Prophets (as) will go to meet him.

According to The holy Prophet(S.A.), a person’s stomach filled with dirty blood and pus is better than a person’s chest filled with couplets or poems which are not in praise of The Almighty God or Ahlulbayt (as); but have for their topics, something against the decency of man.

He has stated that mosques should not be used as a way, coming from one door and leaving by another.

In case one is forced to go through a mosque, one should offer (two rakat) prayers.

Urinating under a fruit-bearing tree or in the middle of the way is prohibated.

Making a concrete grave and praying (regular prayers) in the graveyard are prohibated.

Urinating, while facing towards the sun or the moon, is prohibated.

Women are prohibated to accompany the dead body when it is taken out for funeral purposes.

If a person does so, he will be asked by The Almigthy to make a knot in the water; and when he will not be able to do it, he willbe punished.

It is also prohibated to interfere when a momin is selling something and saying that one’s thing is better, than that being offered by the momin.

Also, if a momin is buying something, no other momin should become a customer by offering a better price.
